After previous font research, we changed our choice of font to "electronica" as we felt this best suited the "neon" sign look we wanted for our font. This was decided to be the font for the Band's Logo, however we had decided to find a different font for our album font, that matched the title.
We also wanted to use the convention that indie artists often use a font , and then add a customisation to it that personalises it for the band. For example Bastilles use of a triangle instead of the A in their name.
For this, we took inspiration from our name "Neon Island" and decided to use the idea of turning one of the "i"'s into a palm tree.
Below shows the first concept of the Band logo text , and then with the added palm tree.
